MedGate GPT is a healthcare information platform operated by MedGate Today. This policy explains what personal data we process and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

2. Information we collect

• Account data you provide when registering: name, email address, optional phone number and organisation, your selected role, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
• Usage data: the conversations you have with the assistant, mock-test attempts and scores, and notifications, stored so we can show your history and progress.
• Technical data: standard server logs needed to operate and secure the service.

You can use the public AI features without an account; data above is only stored once you create one.

3. How we use it

• To provide your account, saved history, dashboards and role-based portals.
• To operate, secure and improve the platform.
• To send service messages (for example, account-approval notifications) where you have an account.

We do not sell your personal data. AI responses are generated to answer your questions and are general information, not medical advice.

4. Retention

We keep account and usage data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see contact below).

5. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed, sessions use secure HTTP-only cookies, and access to administrative data is restricted. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
